Date and Location Change for Howell Wrestling vs. Timberland

We were originally scheduled to host Timberland at Howell Middle School on Tuesday, Feb. 7 at 6, 6, and 7 for FR/JV/Varsity wrestling. The match date and location has been changed:
Howell FR and JV Wrestling vs. Timberland HS at Howell High School on Wednesday, February 8. Matches start at 6:00 pm.
Howell Varsity Wrestling vs. Timberland HS at Howell High School on Wednesday, February 8 at 7:00 pm.
This will be our annual Senior Night recognition.

The Viking Junior Varsity wrestling team had a great weekend
finishing 2nd at the Granite City Tournament. Finishing the day
undefeated were Brock Fisher, Jack Whiteman, Tim Keiser, and Larry Prade.
The varsity wrestling team had the GAC tournament this weekend.
Finishing in 2nd place were Connor Flynn, Jarrett Franklin, and Wes
Skidmore. Taking 3rd was Mason Mitchell. And taking 4th were Nick Schmidt, Cody Berry, and Cory Flemming.
The Vikings are back in action Wednesday against Pattonville and Hazelwood West starting at 6pm at Francis Howell Middle School.

The Viking Wrestling team had a highly successful weekend finishing 5th in the 24 team Lee's Summit Tournament. Leading the way for the Vikings was champion Connor Flynn who improved to 21-0 on the season while beating 3 state ranked opponents. Also placing was Matt Behr 3rd, Jarrett Franklin 4th, Mason Mitchell 5th, Jermaine Martin 5th, and Nick Mcghee 5th. The Vikings have the week off and are back in action December 28th at the Lindbergh tournament

With the Varsity scheduled for an overnight trip this winter, we need to follow district policy that requires the school sit down with the parents and students involved to read them the information in the Field Trip Information for Parents packet. The school will then collect the signed packets prior to departure. Please read more via the LINK.

Congrats to the Howell Varsity program who swept Fort Zumwalt South last night. The varsity improved to 8-1 in duals this year with a 52-21 victory. Winning for the Viking were Nick Mcghee, Jermaine Martin, Connor Flynn, Mason Mitchell, Kyle Heisler, Matt Behr, Jacob Behr, Larry Prade, Jarrett Franklin, Wes Skidmore, and Rick Matthews. The varsity will be in action next Wednesday in a tri dual with Troy and Holt. The JV travels to the Howell North tournament Saturday.
Congrats Howell Wrestling for Last Weekend's Success

The Varsity Viking wrestling team enjoyed a successful weekend at Parkway South finishing 4th in the four team meet with a 4 and 1 dual meet record. Jarrett Franklin and Conner Flynn had dominating performances on their way to the championship. Nick Mcghee had a fine weekend finishing 2nd. Also placing for the Vikings were Matthew Behr, Jacob Behr, Mason Mitchell, and Rick Matthews.
The Junior Varsity Viking wrestling team finished third to bring home a trophy from Parkway South. They were lead by champions Nick Schmidt and Tim Keiser. The Viking also had four wrestlers finish 2nd - Ryan Thompson, Dustin Svetina, Anthony Rispoli, and Cory Fleming. Also placing was Casden Key.
The Freshman team had a fine showing at the Hazelwood Central tournament. Winning championships were Nick Sadler and Aaron Callaway. Finishing third were Tim Brewer, Josh Clouse, Michael Bathem, and Cole Rosenberger.
The Vikings are back in action Tuesday night as they take on district rival Howell Central at Howell Central at 6pm hope to see you there!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats to the State Ranked Howell Wrestling

Congrats to the State Ranked Howell Wrestling team for kicking the season of with a victory over the 3rd ranked class 2 St Charles West Warriors and also Westminster Academy. Nick Mcghee, Jermaine Martin, Connor Flynn, Kyle Heisler, Matthew Behr, Jacob Behr, and Jarret Franklin all went 2-0 on the night. The Vikings are back in action this weekend at the Patriot classic at Parkway South and then travel to Howell Central Tuesday for a showdown with the Spartans.
The JV and Freshman Viking wrestling team split their two duals last night with St Charles West and Westminster. Ryan Thompson, Josh Clouse, Anthony Rispoli, Nico Cusimano, Nick Schmidt, Mark Prizer, Nick Sadler, Tim Brewer, Casden Key, Cory Flemming, and Aaron Callaway all were undefeated on the night. The Viking JV wrestles this weekend at Parkway South and the Freshmen at Hazelwood Central. Before the big dual Tuesday against Howell Central

The Viking Wrestling Club is an open enrollment, non profit club that exists to get kids interested and involved in the sport of wrestling. We strive to promote good sportsmanship, work ethic, and commitment for anyone that is currently in the 1st ( or 6 years of age) through the 8th grade (must not turn 15 years old prior to January 1, 2011) who wish to learn the sport of wrestling.
